Gambia and Mali Meet Sto-Rox, 2006

This video documents an African Arts artist residency led by Saihou Njaie from Gambia and Ibou N’Daiye from Mali at Sto-Rox Middle School in the Pittsburgh, PA area in which I explored ways that video might be used to deepen students’ experience through reflection and self-assessment. At various intervals during the workshops, students viewed clips of their participation and reflected on the process in both verbal and written formats.
