As drought threats increase in severity, my thoughts turn to Native American stewardship of the land. They call the landmass we inhabit now, Turtle Island. A dilapidated turtle pincushion and a falling apart pincushion of human figures clutching a planet inspired my creating a landscape of a shrinking dried out island asking …..what now Turtle Island?
